We've all seen the movie Road Warrior, and it was a great movie, and yet a little scary when you think about it. After all, what would happen if the U.S. oil ran out completely? Some say not much, but I beg to differ. Why you ask? Well, simple really, all we have comes by truck, train or plane, sometimes some of the three. School buses carry our children to school and the U.S. is a mobile society, without fuel, alas!
But some say it's even worse, in fact, it calls a "pessimistic", a tourist from the Middle East, called in our radio program on other day said, "Imagine what will happen in the U.S. if they really run out of fuel. Its people are already armed to the teeth. If fuel runs take 24 hours to put all the animals. No if, ands, or buts. "
Nonsense, I said, but then I thought about it. Do people turn on each other for gasoline? What about food shortages, everyone would be forced to stay home. Do people of rioting in the streets? It could be a component civil war, but would not be the cause.
In fact, I sincerely believe that our free market would solve the problem quickly. All the government needs to do is to liberalize the inventor of the small business entrepreneur and millions like me, would solve the problem using the free market system. Heck, maybe the Americans lose some weight.
Oh, and that the caller or any other international citizen listening, yes, our nation is armed to the teeth, or even believe me if I told you. Just enough so that citizenship could only fight any invading army, we do have sufficient bullets to fend them off. Well, I hope you enjoyed today's subject well.
